CME: Comprehensive management of COPD focusing on best patient outcomes

This session is open to general practitioners, nurse practitioners, and practice nurses.

Presenter: Dr Andy Veale, Director of New Zealand Respiratory and Sleep Institute and consultant respiratory physician at Middlemore Hospital.

CME content includes:

  • Diagnosing COPD
  • Spirometry-who needs it and how to interpret results
  • Aims of treatment from nutrition to psychological support and involving the family
  • Medications and their correct use for COPD vs Asthma

This activity is approved by Manaia Health PHO and RNZCGP for 2 educational hours for AVE (accreditation) and MOPS purposes.
