Linda Holman
General Practice Facilitator

I have lived in Whangarei most of my life and have been involved with the health sector for about 30 years.  I started as a Registered Psychiatric Nurse for the first 15years, and then moving into project and quality management, as well as some operational management roles in Mental Health and Clinical Support services within Northland DHB setting.  During this time I completed a Diploma of Business Studies with EMA, endorsed by Massey University, Palmerston North.  I have worked in the Aged Care sector, managing a Rest Home & Retirement Village in Whangarei.

For the last 8 years I have worked with Manaia Health PHO in a variety of different roles as Quality Leader, SCOPE Coordinator, General Practice Quality Facilitator and now Change Management Facilitator. My role is to facilitate and support the ongoing quality improvement and quality assurance processes with our providers, particularly the General Practice teams. Key areas that I am accountable for are in relation to the development of a culture of Quality Improvement, supporting General Practice with the changes in health care delivery in the primary sector and acting as a communication conduit around PHO initiatives and priorities. I have close working connection with the Practice teams.
